The journey of WCC began back in 2006 with a bunch of Bangladeshi boys (friends among ourselves) all cricket lovers of course more importantly, trying to keep our love for cricket alive in this cold country far away from home. After working our fingers to the bone throughout the week struggling trying making a balance between study and work, it's the weekends when we all came together, all friends met one another and enjoyed one thing we all love and we love most and that is of course playing cricket. Started with Tape Tennis, mostly playing in the parks and grounds around West Ham area mostly, then as the fun was becoming passion and that passion was getting properly embedded deeper in the hearts it was a necessity to start playing proper cricket with proper cricket ball and all that it takes to play this glorious game even more gloriously. Some talents already within the team had a chance to bloom and some more talents joined in and that's how we grew. Today WCC is in the verge of becoming a Brand, especially among the Bangladeshi boys living in London, a brand they all wanna play for, they wanna be known for, they wanna be recognized with. WCC already have seen some form of successes when we became the Victoria Cup League Champions in 2010, and also were the Runner-Ups on NTV Cup 2009, but it's not an extravaganza to say those successes are nothing compared to what this team is capable of in the coming years. And NCL will be just about a decent stage where we'll take these leagues as a ladder to thrive and shine participating in many more leagues and tournaments in years to come. || || || || ||Contact No for Captain: 07490714467Home Ground Address: CLOWES SPORTS GROUND, Barrowell Green, London, N21 3AX
Abdullah Riyaldeen (Player ID- 3056)Bowler
Youngest in the current team, highly energetic full of positive spirit. Bowls with good sharp speed and bats ferociously when gets the chance. One of the future stars for WCC's current pipeline.
AKM Hannan (Player ID- 2465)Bowler
Almost unplayable with the ball in his hand with his slow arm orthodox bowling with cunning change of pace and immaculate line and length. Great passion for the game and one of our most reliable and dedicated members of the team. Great asset for any team.
Ashiqur Rahman Ziad (Player ID- 2470)Alrounder
One of the most satisfying of alrounders in WCC's current team combination. Equally good with both Bat and Ball. Capable of adapting his batting in any given positions and game situations. Known for reliable at holding his grounds safe and firm when wickets falling around him. Great example of copybook bowling always focusing on accurate line & length.
Bishwajit Sarker (Player ID- 2492)Wicket Keeper Batsman
Another great find for WCC for this season. Soft spoken and humble in manners but always highly active and energetic in the games. Wicket keeper and as a batsman has all shots in his book. May surprise many oppositions this year with the range of shots he has. Another batsman who is fluent up in the batting order and equally reliable if he has to bat in the middle.
Kaium Talukder (Player ID- 2496)Alrounder
Great team player, one of our very best fielders, sharp on the toes and got the safest pair of hands. Really quality batting in the middle order of WCC's current batting line up. Got all quality shots his book. It's a pleasure to watch him batting all around the wickets when he is in the middle.
Kamrul Hasan (Player ID- 3067)Bowler
Mahbub Ahsan (Player ID- 2468)Middle Order Batsman
Often in & out of the team yet WCC's one of the longest serving members. Can be underrated at times but also can be useful with his free flowing run scoring ability and most importantly never ending stamina on field. Most of his high scoring innings do look like flukes but they come more often than not ;) Bowlers just beware of his 3.5 LB bat ;)
Masudul Hasan (Player ID- 3068)Bowler
New recruit for WCC this year. He earned his place in the team because of his seriousness in practice, dedication and consistency. Really reliable handy bowler with great accuracy and consistency.
Mohammad Hossain (Player ID- 2471)Middle Order Batsman
Great team player, our very own Jonty Rhodes. Can play up in the order with never ending calmness and also can play middle or late middle order to steady the ship if and when our batting gets shaky. Also can be used as a part time off spinner with good wicket taking ability.
NAYMUL (Player ID- 3374)BATSMAN
Right Hand Bat.
Nazim Uddin (Player ID- 3069)Bowler
Rasu Kabir (Player ID- 3107)Strike Bowler
What a talent this guy is. Came back to cricket after almost 8 years, and hit the right spots with pace and bounce and with deadly swings in both ways. Can be a real game changer, match winner for WCC from now on. His swinging bouncers can be unplayable and of course those pacey swinging yorkers too. And that height always gives him that extra bounce which always helps.
Rubayet Khan (Player ID- 2498)Bowling Alrounder
Game changer, can change any game with his fiery spell and deadly unplayable very much natural outswingers, and our biggest slog master, really handy with his quick scoring ability with the bat.
Sabbir Sany (Player ID- 3368)?
SHOHAGH MALICK (Player ID- 3070)ALL ROUNDER
Shomrat Khan (Player ID- 2495)Alrounder
Syed Iftikhar (Player ID- 3369)?
Tipu Samsuddin (Player ID- 2461)Alrounder
The founder of WCC and also the Captain of the team. His bottomless hope and ambition from the team is the true driving force of WCC. Being himself one of the most crucial alrounders he always serves the team either with the bat or with the bowl if not with both. Takes the helm of batting, comes in the middle order, capable of squeezing singles and doubles when under pressure and also loves hitting big sixes over straight and midwicket when given a good start by the top orders. And with the bowl in his hand he beats all the weirdest bowlers in the world and keeps picking up wickets every game. Most opposition batsmen dont even know if he bowls right arm or left arm ;) His bowling style became a USP in the perfectly balanced mixture of WCC's current bowling attack.
